Oh, it has been in the official repos for a long time already.

Arch: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/qtox/
Gentoo: https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/net-im/qtox

Other distros that have ~proper packaging as well.

If you have community repos (debian) in mind, feel free to make a PR
with version bump: https://github.com/abbat/tox.pkg
